Instructions

    • 1
Keep your skin moist to cut down on static.

Rub body lotion into the skin on your arms, chest and back where it comes in contact with your wool jacket. The moisture on your skin cuts down on dryness and static in the wool.

    • 2

Hold a metal hanger inside the top area of your jacket. Bring the metal hanger down the length of the jacket and out the bottom. The metal attracts static, drawing it away from the fabric.

    • 3

Combine 1 tsp. of fabric softener with 5 oz. of water in a spray bottle. Shake the bottle to mix the solution.

    • 4

Spritz diluted fabric softener onto a clean cloth. Pat the cloth against the wool jacket to remove static cling.

Carry a dryer sheet tucked into a plastic zip bag in your purse or briefcase. Rub your hands over the dryer sheet, then wipe them over your wool jacket.
