Slip on a pair of rubber gloves and fill a sink or plastic basin with 1 gallon hot water. Add 1/4 cup mild liquid laundry detergent and 1/4 cup Epsom salts to the basin.
Stir the liquid until the detergent and Epsom salts are dissolved. Submerge the fleece into the water and allow it to soak for 10 to 15 minutes.
Agitate the water with your hands to work the soapy water through the fleece. Fill a second basin with hot water and submerge the fleece inside.
Allow the fleece to remain in the water for five minutes before removing it and replacing the water. Continue to soak and replace the water until the soapy water is completely rinsed from the fleece.
Wrap the fleece with a towel and squeeze it gently to remove the excess water. Lay the fleece onto a separate towel and allow it to air dry completely.
