How to Get Lint Off a Polyester Jacket After Washing and Before Drying

Lay your jacket out on a table in front of you.

Use a lint roller or a piece of duct or masking tape wrapped sticky-side out around your hand. Gently but firmly, roll the lint roller over your clothes or use the tape to press into the fabric and remove the lint.

Use new tape as necessary once the tape is filled with lint, or peel the lint roller to a new section.

Wipe the fabric lightly with a new, clean dry foam sponge, such as the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser if there is a lot of lint to remove and you can't get all of it with the tape. These sponges also work well for underarms or other awkward places.

Remove lint balls with a pumice stone. These stones are commonly found in the skin care section of a store but can be used to effectively to take lint clumps off of polyester.

Wash the jacket again by itself to remove the lint. If you laundered it the first time with a particularly linty item like towels, you may be able to remove it by rewashing it.
