How to Clean a Satin Bridesmaid's Dress

The best way to clean a satin bridesmaid dress is by having it professionally dry-cleaned, but you can also wash it yourself at home to save time and money. Wash the dress before storing it in a box. Even though you most likely won't wear the dress again, you may want to keep the item for sentimental purposes. You can also wash the dress prior to transforming the fabric into another item, such as a skirt or christening gown. Satin is a delicate material, so use gentle washing techniques.
