How to Remove Stains from an Authentic Football Jersey

Cornstarch
Aerosol petroleum-based stain remover
2 cups white vinegar
Bucket
Heavy-duty laundry detergent
Padded hanger

  Sprinkle cornstarch over any greasy food stains on your authentic jersey. Let the cornstarch soak up the oil for 15 minutes before brushing it off.

  Spray all stains from greasy food, grass stains or dirt with a petroleum-based prewash stain remover. Allow the stain remover to soak into the fabric of your authentic football jersey for two to three minutes to loosen the stain.

  Rinse your football jersey with cool water to remove the prewash stain remover and any loosened stain material.

  Pour 1 cup of white vinegar into a bucket and add 1 gallon of warm water. Soak your authentic football jersey in the diluted vinegar solution to remove the remaining stains.

  Wash your jersey in warm water on the permanent-press or low-agitation cycle. Use heavy duty laundry detergent and add 1 cup of white vinegar to the rinse cycle to act as a fabric softener and odor remover.
