Instructions

    • 1

Remove the bed linens from your bed. Launder them using laundry detergent. Add fabric softener to the rinse cycle to help prevent static electricity.

    • 2
Hang dry sheets to prevent static caused by the dryer.

Hang dry your bed linens on a clothesline. Secure them with clothespins and allow them to air dry completely.

    • 3

Apply lotion to your skin 20 to 30 minutes before going to bed. Moisturizing your skin beforehand discharges static electricity by removing dryness.

    • 4
Static is drawn away from the sheets to the metal hanger.

Lift the comforter away from the bed sheet when you get into bed. Hold a metal hanger in your hand and move it between the comforter and bed sheet to discharge static electricity.
