How to Get Silly String Off the Ceiling

Silly String is a plastic polymer that is propelled as a liquid through an aerosol can. Once the solvent inside the can is introduced to air, it quickly diminishes, leaving behind the hardened plastic that is delightful to play with, but a pain to clean up. After the string stops flying, you are left with a messy goo that sticks to every surface, including your ceiling. It is crucial to remove the Silly String from your ceiling as quickly as possible to prevent permanent staining.
