How to Clean Streaked Wood Flooring

Hardwood floors are prone to streaks left behind by floor cleaning products that are high in soap or chemicals used to eliminate dirt, which leads to dulling the floor's naturally shiny finish. Wood floors are susceptible to permanent damage from moisture and soap residue, and they require minimal exposure to water to maintain their natural shine. Once cleaned, the floors also require protection to reduce exposure to sunlight and abrasive surfaces that can damage the floor's finish.
