How to Clean Krylon Spray Paint Off a Patio Floor

In 1947, manufacturer Foster & Kester introduced Krylon products to consumers. Since then, Krylon has become a well-known brand for spray paint. Trying to remove the spray paint once it has dried on your patio floor can be a bit difficult if you do not use the proper tools. If possible, remove the Krylon paint as soon as possible. The longer the spray paint stays on the patio floor, the more difficult removing it becomes.

Instructions

    • 1

Wear rubber gloves and carefully pour a small amount of lacquer thinner in a plastic paint tray. The rubber gloves will protect your hands from irritation from the lacquer thinner.

    • 2

Saturate the bristles of a clean paintbrush in the lacquer thinner. Brush the liquid over the spray paint until completely covered.

    • 3

Wait 10 to 15 minutes. This will give the lacquer thinner enough time to soften the Krylon spray paint.

    • 4

Wipe the softened paint off the patio floor with a cloth. If you meet resistance, apply more lacquer thinner to the paint, wait 10 to 15 minutes and gently scrape the softened paint off with a putty knife.

    • 5

Rinse the patio floor clean with a hose.
