Put on a pair of rubber gloves, goggles and a mask to protect you while you work with the chemicals.
Mix 1 cup of baby powder with one-eighth cup of 20 percent hydrogen peroxide in a metal bowl if the mark is on a lighter colored flooring. If the flooring is dark, however, then substitute the hydrogen peroxide with acetone.
Spread the poultice over the mark on your flooring. Keep the poultice at a thickness of one-half inch.
Cover the poultice with plastic wrap and tape in place. Leave the area untouched for a period of 24 hours.
Remove the plastic wrap from around the poultice and discard. Wait three more hours for the poultice to dry out.
Remove the poultice with a plastic putty knife. Do not use a metal putty knife, as it could scratch the flooring.
Clean the floor to remove any remaining traces of poultice and to restore the shine to your floor. Use a floor cleaner that matches the type of floor you have (concrete floor cleaner or marble floor cleaner), a small amount of water and a mop.
