How to Get Rust Stains Off of a Light Fixture

Don’t assume you must abandon your antique light fixture, or even a newer model, because of exterior rust. If the rust is only a surface, aesthetic-type issue and not indicative of an internal deterioration problem that interferes with the workings of the light fixture, you can remove the rust. Turn off the power to the fixture before you tackle the rust stains.
