How to Get Rust Off a Cream Corian Sink

Dupont Corian sinks provide long-lasting style and durability with little care or maintenance required. Nonporous Corian sinks resist stains in most cases, but rust stains can occur if metal objects are left in the sink for extended periods of time. Most household cleaners are safe to use on Corian when used as directed. Mild abrasives can remove tough rust stains without harming the matte or satin Corian finish.

Instructions

    • 1

Apply an abrasive cream cleanser directly to the rusty spots in the cream Corian sink. Allow the cleanser to sit for five to 10 minutes if you use one containing bleach.

    • 2

Wipe the Corian sink with a damp scrub sponge to remove the rust.

    • 3

Rinse the Corian sink thoroughly with clean water to remove any product residue. If any rust remains, use a dedicated rust remover.

    • 4

Apply rust remover directly to the rusty areas with a cloth. Allow the rust remover to sit for the specified amount of time on the package, but no longer.

    • 5

Rinse the Corian sink thoroughly with clean water.
