Burnishing a Tile Floor

You don't have to apply a liquid finish each week to ensure that your tile floor retains its glossy sheen. Instead, consider burnishing your tile. Burnishing is a type of high-speed buffing that leaves behind a brilliant shine. Although burnishing is used most frequently on floors composed of tough vinyl composition tile (such as those found in hospitals and department stores), you can also use a burnishing machine to give added luster to the ceramic tile floors in your home.
