Vinyl composition tile floors are a common feature of hospitals, schools, stores and similar institutions. This durable floor covering polishes to such a high gloss that it may appear wet even when it's dry. Regular maintenance is essential to maintaining its shine and removing minor scratches. After regular cleaning to remove dirt, use a buffer machine and a buffing solution to restore its gloss finish. VCT floors respond well to a homemade buffing solution composed of diluted floor polish.
