How to Clean Up After Teasing Hair

  Wipe the inside and outside of the sink basin with a damp paper towel to remove strands of hair that fell out during the teasing process.

  Dampen a lint-free cloth with lukewarm water and wipe the inside and outside of the sink basin with the cloth. This will remove hairspray residue off the surface.

  Spray window cleaner on a lint-free cloth and wipe the mirror to remove hairspray residue. Let the mirror air dry.

Hair Cleanup

  Dampen the teased hair with lukewarm water. Add a dollop of shampoo to the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together for several seconds until suds form.

  Start at the roots and run your sudsy hands through the hair while gently scrubbing for several minutes. The shampoo will help remove the hairspray buildup.

  Rinse the shampoo out of the hair with lukewarm water. Add a dollop of conditioner to the palm of your hand and rub your hands together for a few seconds.

  Massage the conditioner into your hair, starting at the roots and moving toward the ends. Wait 10 minutes before rinsing the conditioner out of the hair with lukewarm water.

  Add a dollop of detangler to the palm of your hand and rub your hands together. Massage the detangler through your hair for several minutes before rinsing the hair with lukewarm water.

  Towel dry the hair and comb gently with a large comb.
