How to Clean Silicone Baking Pads in the Dishwasher

The silicone baking pad is a recent invention that has benefited home cooks and professional chefs alike. Anyone who has baked several times has probably had a baking sheet with food baked onto it, sometimes so bad that the sheet has to be thrown out. Silicone baking pads make baking sheet cleanup easy. Sometimes, the pads need to be cleaned as well. Usually, a quick swipe of a damp cloth or sponge will do the trick, but there are times it becomes necessary to load the baking pads in the dishwasher to get them fully cleaned and sanitized.
