How to Get Rid of Pet Odors From Particleboard Floors in a Mobile Home

Pet odors can be extremely pungent and difficult to remove from particleboard floors. Unfortunately, cleaning up accidents and pet mishaps is part of being a pet owner. Perhaps your puppy hasn't been housebroken quite yet, or your older cat is starting to have accidents. Regular cleaning supplies, and even ones specifically for pet odors, don't always work as well as you might like. Particleboard is especially prone to retaining smells and will require diligent cleaning to remove unwanted pet odors.

Instructions

    • 1

Vacuum your floor thoroughly. This will remove any loose dust and dirt particles.

    • 2

Mix even amounts of water and vinegar in a bucket. This solution will work to remove the smell as well as disinfect your floor.

    • 3

Wash your floor in small sections, using the mixture. Getting particleboard too wet will cause it to warp, so use the smallest amount of solution possible for each section. Dip the tips of a stiff broom into the vinegar/water solution, and wipe it into the particleboard.

Wipe up any excess moisture with a towel. After cleaning and wiping the entire floor, let it simply air dry.
