Standard ceilings have heights that range from 10 to 12 feet. Windows are typically placed in the center of the wall. The height to reach the top of the window on the third floor is estimated at about 30 feet. Therefore, a 30-foot extension pole will do the job.
To make cleaning high windows easy, use a window washing tool and squeegee. The window washing tool attaches to the extension pole and has a soft cloth on the end to wash the windows. The squeegee attachment removes cleaning solution and shines the windows.
Rather than use standard household window cleaner, use a simple cleaning solution with water to wash the windows. In a gallon bucket, mix warm water, about two drops of dish detergent and two cups of white vinegar.
To clean the windows, attach the window washing tool to the extension pole. Saturate the window washing tool in the cleaning solution in the bucket. Shake out excess solution so the tool doesn’t drip. Reach up to the window and scrub them with the solution and window washing tool until all dirt and debris are removed. Remove the window washing tool from the extension pole and replace it with a squeegee tool. Remove the cleaning solution on the window with the squeegee by starting at the top and left of the window and pulling the squeegee down. Start at the top of the window and move towards the right of the window, pulling the squeegee down until the entire window is clean.
