How to Clean Aluminum Blooms

Aluminum blooms are artificial lavender flower blooms sculpted out of aluminum and accented with artificial foliage. Aluminum blooms should be clean in order to reflect the light they catch. Aluminum blooms collect dust and become soiled, as do all other artificial plants. To keep aluminum blooms sparkling, incorporate a cleaning routine that removes all types of dirt from even the tiniest crevices. Harsh chemical cleaners are not recommended to clean artificial plants of any kind.

Instructions

    • 1

Dust your aluminum blooms with a feather duster or rag to remove surface dust. Surface dust can make your artificial plants lack luster and appear artificial.

    • 2

Clean between crevices using a can of compressed air. Small crevices formed by close connected parts of the aluminum bloom can collect dust inside of the flowers. Keeping the inside of the flowers clean allows the plant to reflect light.

    • 3

Remove heavy layers of dust and soil using a vacuum cleaner with a brush attachment. The suction catches the dust brushed off the bloom, permanently removing the dust from the room.

    • 4

Polish your artificial bloom with a white vinegar and water solution applied with a cotton towel. Vinegar removes oils and build up that prevent light from reflecting off the surface.
