Gather the necessary tools to remove UV coating. UV coating is typically a film placed on the window through a special adhesive. To remove the coating, you need a stainless steel razor blade and a pair of tweezers.
Press the razor blade into the window, and gently cut a 6-inch vertical line into the film. Ensure that you do not use excessive pressure as this will cut the actual glass.
Cut a 6-inch horizontal line across the vertical cut.
Pick at the film where the vertical and horizontal lines meet with your tweezers. When 1-inch of the UV coating film is released from the glass, gently grab hold of the coating and pull it in a smooth manner. Repeat until the UV coating filming is completely removed from the glass.
Mix 2 tablespoons of liquid dishwashing soap and 1 cup of water. Dip a sponge into the cleaning solution and clean the glass to remove leftover adhesive.
