How to Make Your Own Grease Cleaner

Grease is a very useful substance around the house, unless it is unwanted. Unwanted grease buildup can be very hard to remove. Many cleaning products on the market promise perfect and stainless cleaning but fail to deliver when it counts. Every new product claims to be better than others and is priced more expensively than the last one. You're often better off making your own grease cleaner that actually works.

Mix 1/4 cup of baking soda and 1/2 cup of white vinegar in 1/2 gallon of water. Pour the solution into a spray bottle or an open container. Spray the solution over the greased surface, and use a sponge to wipe away the grease. Rinse the surface with clean water. Use a microfiber cloth to dry the wet surface.

Use salt to soak up grease when dealing with fresh spills. Pour the salt over the grease, and wait a few minutes. Use a sponge to wipe clean, and rinse with warm water. Use a microfiber cloth or any dry cloth to dry the surface.
