How to Mend a Burn Hole on a Polo Shirt

Finding a cigarette burn in a polo shirt can be disheartening because it ruins the polished look of a polo shirt. Luckily, you don't have to throw it out or give it away. Use fusible tape to mend away any issues and have a like-new shirt again for a fraction of the cost.

Instructions

    • 1

Turn the shirt inside-out, and use scissors to cut a tiny square of fusible tape just slightly bigger than the cigarette burn. Stick it directly on the hole.

    • 2

Cut a small piece of fabric from the inside hem of the shirt or from one of the seams to use as your patch.

    • 3

Turn the shirt right-side out. Add a dot of fabric glue onto the cigarette burn.

    • 4

Press the tiny patch onto the glue, and allow it to set overnight. Run an iron set on medium heat over the patch to set it.
