How to Cover Up a Hairline Crack in a White Ceramic Bowl

A crack in your white ceramic bowl doesn't mean it's no longer useful. You can easily fix and hide the crack with a few items from your toolbox. This process takes less than an hour, so it can even be done before it's used in a dinner party.

Things You'll Need

  • Soap and water
  • Oven
  • Epoxy glue
  • Toothpicks
  • Cotton ball
  • Rubbing alcohol
  • White enamel ceramic paint

Instructions

      Wash the bowl with soapy, warm water and rinse it with clean water.

      Place your bowl in the oven and set the oven to 125 degrees.

      Let the bowl bake for 30 minutes.

      Remove the bowl from the oven and let it cool.

      Force epoxy glue into the crack with a toothpick while the bowl is still warm.

      Wipe off excess glue with a cotton ball soaked in rubbing alcohol.

      Let the bowl cool.

      Dip a toothpick into white enamel paint and trace the crack with the paint.
