How to Make Moist Heat at Home

The moisture of the air level is important to the comfort and health of your home. Too much moisture in the air results in the development of mold and mildew.       Fill bowls with hot water and place them throughout the home so the water can evaporate and add moisture to the air. Once the water has cooled, empty the bowls and refill them as needed.

      Pour water into a large cooking pot. Place the pot on the stove.

      Bring the water to a boil. Turn the heat down to medium-low. Allow the water to simmer so steam escapes into the air. Add more water to the pot as needed.

      Leave the bathroom door ajar while you shower. Steam will escape and add humidity to the surrounding area.
