# How to Fold a Tablecloth for a Bar
If you have a tablecloth for the bar in your home, it is most likely rectangular and small enough that you can fold and store it in a manner that reduces the need for ironing. Before folding and storing it, though, shake it outdoors to remove any crumbs or other debris. If necessary, wash it according to fabric-care instructions before folding and storing.

- Hanger
- Cardboard tube

Fold the tablecloth in half, and hang over a hanger with a round bottom bar, such as one used to hang pants. This works well if the tablecloth for the bar is small enough to do this. If the tablecloth is too big, or your prefer to store it in another manner, proceed to the next step.

Lay a cardboard tube -- such as one fromsed in the center of a roll of wrapping paper -- at the edge of the bar and the edge of the tablecloth. If the tablecloth is wider than the tube, fold it in half first.

Roll the tablecloth around the cardboard tube rather than folding it. It is now ready for storage.
