Instructions

Select either shaving cream, non-gel toothpaste, car wax, shampoo or dishwashing detergent to coat your mirror. Car wax keeps the mirror fog-less for the longest period of time, and dishwashing detergent and shampoo need to be reapplied more often since they easily wash away. Toothpaste and shaving cream typically require reapplication every two to four showers.

Wipe the mirror with the selected product before getting in the shower. Cover the entire mirrored surface with a thin layer. The mirror should be dry before application.

Wipe off the toothpaste with a dry rag before getting into the shower. If you are using car wax, let it dry, then buff with a soft cloth, recommends "Reader's Digest." If you are using dishwashing detergent or shampoo, allow it to dry before getting in the shower. For shaving cream, continue wiping with a rag until it disappears.
