Instructions

    • 1

Measure the width of the interior of the kitchen drawer.

    • 2

Cut two pieces of 1-by-3-inch board as long as the width of the drawer, using a saw. These are the horizontal dividers.

    • 3

Measure the depth of the interior of the kitchen drawer.

    • 4

Cut two pieces of 1-by-3-inch board as long as the depth of the drawer. These are the vertical dividers.

    • 5

Cut two notches into one side of each vertical divider, 2 inches from each end, using a keyhole saw. The notches should be 1 1/4 inch deep and 3/4 inch wide.

    • 6

Cut 2 notches into one side of each horizontal divider, 3 inches from each end, using a keyhole saw. The notches should be 1 1/4 inch deep and 3/4 inch wide.

    • 7

Fit the four pieces together, turning them into a shape like a tic-tac-toe board. The notches hold the dividers together.

    • 8

Place the dividers into the kitchen drawer. Because the wood fits the interior of the drawer, the structure is sturdy and can stand up on its own.
