How to Make Coffee-Scented Room Air Fresheners

There's nothing like waking up in the morning to a room filled with that freshly brewed coffee smell. To get that smell at any time of the day, in any room of the house, make your own air freshener. Using natural air fresheners in you house means that you know exactly which ingredients are going into each one. Homemade scents may be made for every nose from natural items like lemon, cinnamon sticks, flavored extracts and even coffee beans.

Ultra fine cheesecloth
Scissors
Coffee beans
Coffee grinder
Measuring spoons
Kitchen twine

Instructions

  Cut out a square piece of cheesecloth, about 5-by-5 inches. Lay the cheesecloth flat.

  Ground up fresh coffee beans to about a medium grind. If you grind the coffee too finely, it may seep through the cheesecloth.

  Take approximately 2 tbsp. of the coffee and put it inside the cheesecloth.

  Create a satchel with the coffee. Wrap the cheesecloth around the coffee and tie off the top of the cheesecloth with kitchen twine.

  Place the coffee air freshener in a decorative bowl. Or, create a loop with the kitchen twine to hang the air freshener.
