If your wet cement slab has a musty smell, this can be an indication of mildew growth. Removing the smell involves drying out the concrete, which is sometimes difficult when the concrete sweats. One cure for sweating concrete is to seal the surface. The area also needs airing out, to bring in fresh air to circulate around the concrete. This can also help in drying the surface.
