How to Get Black Scuff Marks Off White Leather Boots

No matter how careful you are while walking around, black scuff marks seem to appear on your white leather boots as if by magic. Rather than reach for nail polish or leather dye, both of which are messy and could leave your boots looking strange, to try to cover up the scuff marks, remove the scuff marks with baking soda and little elbow grease. Your leather boots will end up looking like new.

Instructions

    • 1

Combine 2 tbsp. baking soda with 1 cup of water in a bowl. Mix well to form a paste.

    • 2

Apply a dime-sized amount to a clean, soft rag.

    • 3

Rub the baking soda over the scuff mark with the rag until the mark vanishes.

    • 4

Dampen another rag with warm water. Run it over the previously scuffed area to remove any baking soda residue. Let the leather air dry for approximately three or four hours before wearing.
