However, if the filter becomes damaged or you wear it out, you will need to remove it and replace it with a new one.      Grasp the filter holder lid, and turn it counterclockwise to open it.

     Pull the basket filter out of the filter holder.

     Remove any packing from your replacement coffee filter. Wash it with warm, soapy water. Rinse it with hot water, dry it and place it inside the holder.

     Close the lid by turning it clockwise.
