Measure and mark the new location of the headboard on your wall. Double check each measurement to ensure the bottom of the headboard will not be visible once you put the bed into position.
Locate your wall studs using a stud finder. Only a stud will be able to handle the weight of a metal headboard. Using the wall studs as a guide, mark two points on the headboard where you will place the flush mounts.
Mark two corresponding points on two studs on the wall. The marks on the metal headboard and the marks on the wall should line up. Double check all measurements.
Position the wall side of the flush mounts on the wall using a drill and a long screw. Use the side that points up.
Position the other side of the wall mount on the metal headboard and secure it by drilling a screw slowly through the metal. Don’t drill fast as this could break the screw as well as the bit.
Install the headboard on the wall by lowering the mount on the headboard into the mount on the wall. Push the bed against the headboard on the wall.
