Find an uncrowded wall where your memo board won't be competing with artwork, windows, curtains or other items. Make sure it's in your path so you won't be going out of the way to check it.
Measure 60 inches high on your wall, the average height for eye level. Make a light pencil tick at 60 inches. This is where you want the center of your memo board to hang for ease of viewing.
Measure the distance from the center of your memo board to the built-in picture hanger on the back. Then measure the equal distance from your pencil tick up. For example, if your memo board's hook hangs 4 inches up from center, measure 4 inches up from 60, or 64 inches off the ground. Make a new tick to mark the location where you will drive the nail.
Use a hammer to nail a J-hook into the wall at the designated mark. One J-hook will hold your lightweight memo board.
Hang the built-in picture hook on your memo board off the J-hook.
Step back and examine the memo board. If any of the corners seem too high, gently push them down until the board is straight across.
