Bathroom Basket Ideas

Consider placing baskets in your bathroom. Not only are they multi-functional, as they serve several functions within the room, they also give a clean appearance. Whether you use them to reduce clutter, organize small items, as a courtesy for overnight guests or a gift item, coordinate the color of the basket to the existing décor.
  1. Contain Clutter

    • Remove all the tiny items on the counters that you use daily and place them into multiple baskets. Gather all the items you use to make your face, such as eye shadows, lipstick or mascara into one small basket while a different basket holds the facial creams, after shave and astringents. Group hair care products into one basket with a different one for the combs and brushes. Place cotton balls, tissues and cotton swabs into their own basket. Stack them above each other on one counter or store them under the counter.

    Organize

    • Designate larger baskets for electronic items, such as blow dryers and electric shavers. Organize all female monthly products into one basket and a first aid supply or medical kit into another basket. Use a basket to hold several rolls of toilet paper next to the bowl and a basket for cleaning products under the sink. Find baskets that fit within your existing bathroom drawers as this allows for easy access and storage options or baskets that can be slid in and out of a shelving unit.

    Guest Bathroom

    • Prepare a basket for your guest bathroom and overnight guests. Provide travel-sized items they may have forgotten at home, such as a new tooth brush, mouthwash or tooth aste. Roll and insert a couple of towels in the basket so they can shower with clean towels. Include hair supplies, such as a curling iron or blow dryer, with hair products, such as shampoo, conditioner, hair spray or gel. Complete the basket with a loofah sponge and shower gel.

    Bathroom Gift Basket

    • Make a gift bathroom basket for an out-of-town guest not staying in your home. Besides including essentials, such as a toothbrush, fill it with medical items he may need, such as aspirins or band aidsages. Include some candles and bath salts with light reading material along with scented lotions and oils for her feet. A loofah sponge or back sponge may come in handy along with nail polish or makeup remover.
