Remove any ties that can no longer be used. These include ties that are worn, stained or no longer fashionable. Donate them, discard them or, if they have sentimental value, store them elsewhere.
Use a tie rack where the ties are easily visible and can be hung with little effort. A folding, accordion-style rack works well in small spaces or a horizontal towel bar works for those on a budget.
Hang ties on the rack so they are visible, untangled and easy to access. Replace ties after they are worn so they stay fresh and are easy to find. Place the ties that are most versatile and frequently used in the easiest spot to reach.
