Measure across the width of the bar at the bottom of the wooden hanger. Make up to five small dots with the pencil. Space the dots evenly apart. For example, if the hanger's bottom bar is 12 inches across and you are using four hooks, space each hook 3 inches apart.
Drill a shallow pilot hole at each dot. Use a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the tip of the tea hooks. Don't drill all the way through the bar.
Push the tea hooks into the pilot holes and twist until each hook is securely attached to the wooden bar.
Dress up the belt organizer if you would like. Place a small dot of hot glue on the edge of a piece of ribbon and wrap the ribbon around the upper part of the hanger, concealing the wood. Place a dot of glue on the other end of the ribbon and trim any excess. You can also paint the wooden hanger. Let it dry overnight before hanging the belts from it.
Hang belts on the organizer by hooking the buckles onto the tea hooks.
