Cut six 2-foot lengths of 1-inch-wide grosgrain ribbon. Cut one end straight and one end at an angle. Grosgrain ribbon is best for this project because its texture prevents the bows' clips from slipping.
Run a thin line of liquid fabric stabilizer along the cut edges of the ribbon to prevent fraying. Liquid fabric stabilizer is available at most fabric stores.
Fold one inch of the ribbon's straight end over the bar of a decorative clothes hanger. The angled end should be in back.
Sew the front and back lengths of the ribbon together by hand-stitching a row of running stitches close to the bar of the hanger.
Sew the other ribbons on in the same way. Leave different amounts of space between the ribbons to accommodate different sizes of bows.
Hang the hanger in the closet or from a hook on the wall. Clip hair bows onto the ribbons to store them.
