How to Cut LED Strips

Flexible LED lighting strips are handy to have around for decoration, or if you just need to light those hard-to-reach areas of your home. The flexible strips can also be cut down into varying lengths and sizes in the case that they are longer than you need. It is a fairly simple thing to cut an LED strip down to size, requiring only a pair of scissors and good eyesight.

     Examine the LED strip. You will notice a recurring "Scissors" symbol placed at regular intervals along the strip. These symbols denote where it is safe to cut the strips.

     Choose where you wish to cut the strip. You can only make the cut -- safely, at any rate -- where the strip is marked with a scissors emblem.

     Cut through the LED strip with your scissors.
