How to Hang a Wakeboard on the Wall

You will need a way to store your wakeboard when you are between water sport adventures. Take advantage of some unused vertical space on your walls and display your board at the same time by hanging it on the wall. A wakeboard wall rack is an effective and safe way to display your wakeboard on a wall. Wall racks come in a wide variety of styles. Select a style that will complement the style of your room. Mount your wall rack securely to the wall by fastening it to wall framing boards called studs.

Instructions

  Select a wall on which to hang your wakeboard. Slide a stud finder along the wall at the approximate height that you would like to hang the wakeboard. Mark the indicated stud locations on the wall with a pencil.

  Place a level horizontally across the rack. Adjust the rack for level. Mark the location of the mounting holes in the rack on the wall with a pencil. Set the rack aside.

  Drill a 1-inch-deep pilot hole in the center of each of the mounting hole markings using a drill equipped with a 1/16-inch drill bit.

  Hold the rack against the wall so that the mounting holes are aligned with the pilot holes. Drive the screws included with the rack through the mounting holes into the wall studs using a screw gun.
