Wash out a plastic bin with soap and water to remove any dust or debris. Dry well with a towel, then turn the bin upside down on a sheet of newspaper.
Spray a thin, even coat of spray-paint onto both the outside and the inside of the bin. Paint outside or in a room with windows open to provide ventilation. Use a color of your choice to match the decor of the area of your home in which the bin will be used. Let the paint dry for about 12 hours, then apply a second coat for best coverage. Let the second coat dry thoroughly, about another 12 hours.
Attach a plastic wheel to each of the bottom of the bin's corners. Use a drill to carefully drill each wheel in place. Plastic wheels can be found at most building supply stores and most come with their own screws for attaching. If the wheels you've purchased don't have their own screws, purchase screws separately.
Turn the bin over so that it rests on the wheels. Fill it with items like toys, books or out-of-season clothes, then wheel the bin under a bed, table, bench or other piece of furniture where it will be out of the way.
Repeat Steps 1 to 4 on as many bins as you require for your storage needs.
