Create a file box. Open your plastic box, and insert file dividers; label each one with the types of papers you plan to store behind the divider in the box. Use pocketless folders instead of dividers if you wish to keep your papers in such a way you can remove all similar papers at one time.
Build in cardboard dividers for files. Instead of folders, insert cardboard dividers. Cut the cardboard to fit the inside of the box from top to bottom and from side to side. Glue the sides of the cardboard that will be attached to the plastic box; hold the cardboard in place for about a minute so it can set. Insert three to five of these dividers, and let them set overnight before you place anything in the box.
Create a cardboard divider with six or eight compartments, big enough to hold beads or jewelry. Cut a piece of cardboard the size of the width of the inside of the box, and cut three our four evenly spaced slits halfway down. Glue the sides of the cardboard that will adhere to the box. Next, cut three or four cardboard pieces to cross the already-placed piece perpendicularly. Cut slits halfway down on each piece so you can fit the smaller pieces into the slots already made in the larger piece. This should create six or eight compartments for your organizational needs.
