How to Hang a Fishing Rod

Fishing rods become the center of attention while out on the lake or stream. However, at home, fishing rods often get hidden away in a closet or shed. But fishing rods can remain the center of attention if you hang them on the wall in the garage, or even in the living room. Hanging fishing rods is easy and requires few supplies.

Instructions

    • 1

Find two studs on the wall using a stud finder. Studs are typically about 16 inches apart. It is best to find two studs that are about 36 inches from each other, leaving enough space to balance the fishing rod.

    • 2

Place wall hooks directly even with each other vertically, and mount them to the wall studs using a power drill.

    • 3

Place the fishing rod in the center of the two hooks, balancing it on the hooks.
