How to Make a Wall-Mounted Jewelry Holder for Earrings With Backs

Turn an unwanted belt into an attractive and practical earring organizer that hangs on the wall. Organizing earrings is a challenge that comes with having pierced ears. Finding matching studs with backings can be frustrating when it requires digging through crowded compartments of a jewelry box. Make a wall-mounted jewelry holder for organizing earrings with backs from an old belt from your closet or a local thrift store.

Instructions

    • 1

Lay a D ring belt flat, vertically, with the right side facing up. A D ring belt is one that has two metal rings at the end, shaped like the letter D, and no holes in the belt itself.

    • 2

Attach a flower embellishment to the belt just below the D ring with a glue gun. Attach a second embellishment to the bottom of the belt.

    • 3

Push pairs of earrings through the belt from the front to the back. Attach the earring backs to the earring posts on the other side of the belt.

    • 4

Hang the belt vertically on a wall by hooking the D ring on a nail as a hanger. Add earrings to the earring holder to keep them organized and ready to wear.
