Measure the inside dimensions -- height, depth and width -- of your kitchen drawer.
Cut a piece of foam to the size of your drawer to act as the bottom liner of your divider.
Cut one piece of foam to the same length as your drawer and 1 inch shorter than the drawer's depth. For example, if your drawer measured 25 inches long, 10 inches deep and 15 inches wide, you would cut the foam to measure 25 inches long by 9 inches high. This will form one divider.
Cut one piece of foam to the same width as your drawer and 1 inch shorter than the drawer's depth. For example, if your drawer measured 25 inches long, 10 inches deep and 15 inches wide, you would cut the foam to measure 25 inches long by 9 inches high. This will form the other divider.
Lay the divider pieces on a flat surface. Fold each in half lengthwise, creasing slightly. Open the divider pieces and snip a notch approximately 2 inches long over the crease. These notches will allow the dividers to fit together to form a cross shape.
Fit the divider pieces together, slipping one notch over the other notch to form a cross. Place the cross onto the foam liner, center it, and then secure with lengths of duct tape along all the foam edges and seams.
Place the divider into your drawer.
