How to Make Your Own Closet Size Separators

Closet size separators, also known as closet dividers, organize clothes by size by giving each size its own space on the rod. Size separators are particularly useful in children's closets, especially if multiple children share a closet. You can easily make your own closet dividers from wooden letters available at your local craft store.

Instructions

    • 1

Place a wooden letter "O" on top of craft paper, with the craft paper facedown. Trace the outline of the letter, and cut it out with scissors. Repeat this so you have two pieces of craft paper for each letter.

    • 2

Cover the front of the wooden letters with a thin layer of liquid craft glue. Press a piece of craft paper onto the glue. Repeat with the back of each letter. Let the glue dry for at least two hours.

    • 3

Press stickers onto the top of each letter to correspond to the size of clothing you will be hanging behind that particular letter. Slide the closet rod out of the closet.

    • 4

Slip the letters over the rod in size order, from smallest to largest. Replace the rod, and hang the clothes behind the corresponding divider.
