How to Decorate Bulletin Boards for Scrapbooking

Decorating bulletin boards for scrapbooking can be an effective way to attract interest to a group or class, or customers to a business. Telling people about a scrapbook page or attractive photograph has much less of an impact than showing them a brightly colored page layout, fun letters and embellishments. Create a well designed bulletin board to promote scrapbooking and the beautiful pages, supplies and friendships that are part of the hobby.

Instructions

    • 1

Create easy-to-read fliers that tell information such as class meeting dates and times, skills learned, contact names and phone numbers. Mount each flier on a sheet of decorative paper.

    • 2

Cover the bulletin board with a sheet of solid colored paper. Press staples into the paper to secure it, by opening the stapler and pushing the staples directly through the paper, into the bulletin board.

    • 3

Assign a title to the bulletin board that gets to the point immediately and also peaks curiosity, such as "New Scrapbooking Business" or "Fun Scrapbooking Class." Attach die cut letters across the top of the bulletin board for your title.

    • 4

Lay out a design using fliers, photos, completed scrapbook pages and new product packages before attaching them to the bulletin board. Center the most important information.

    • 5

Move the layout, piece by piece, to the bulletin board. Attach papers with a staple at each corner.

    • 6

Fill empty spaces with stickers, embellishments or a handwritten note.
