DIY Junk Wood Floor Shelves

You can make shelves from reclaimed materials including junk wood flooring planks. These planks are readily available at architectural salvage yards. Although they may no longer be desirable as flooring, many of these planks make ideal shelving boards. Reclaimed plank shelves complement many home styles, ranging from country to cottage to modern. A clear finish applied over the planks will allow the age-worn boards to tell a story all their own. You can often find beautiful planks from factory floors that have a rich history to go along with them.
