How to Clean Dog Urine Off a Leather Chair

Dog urine does not cause damage to leather as leather repels liquids, including urine. If your dog has an accident on your leather chair, tend to it as soon as you can. Instructions

    • 1

Locate the urine spot on your leather chair. For a new spot, use paper towels to absorb as much of the urine as you can. If the spot is on an area that can be removed, such as the cushion, remove it and the stuffing from inside the cushion. To do this, look for a zipper along the seam. If you cannot find one then chances are the inner stuffing cannot be removed.

Create a mixture of mild soap and water in a bucket. Dip a clean sponge in the soapy water then wring out the sponge to remove excess water. Do not saturate the leather with the soapy water.

    • 3

Wipe the leather with the sponge to remove the dog urine. Repeat this process several times until the dog urine is completely gone.

    • 4

Air dry the leather. If you can, set it outside in a shady spot to dry.
