How to Clean White Leather Lounges

Dry Cleaning

• Vacuum the white leather lounge thoroughly with a vacuum brush attachment. Remove the cushions and vacuum underneath them, where crumbs can accumulate. Use gentle pressure on the leather to prevent scratching. Wipe the leather with a soft cloth in small, circular motions to remove dust and light buildup. This method works for weekly cleaning and freshening of your white leather lounge.

Wet Cleaning

• Mix one tablespoon.of mild liquid soap and one quart of distilled water in a bucket. Mix it with your hand or a spoon to form foamy soap bubbles. Dip a cloth into the bucket and wring it out. Wipe the leather in small sections at a time. Rinse the cloth with distilled water and wring it out. Wipe the leather in small, circular motions to remove the soap residue. Rinse the cloth when necessary. Use a dry cloth to blot the leather and remove excess water. Allow the leather lounge to air-dry thoroughly before conditioning. This cleaning method can also be applied for spot cleaning and stains.

Conditioning Leather

• Apply leather conditioner or protector to a soft cloth. Wipe the leather lounge with the cloth using small, circular motions. Spread the product thinly and evenly over the surface of the leather to provide adequate protection. This process restores shine and luster to the leather, while adding a barrier against stains and water damage. A small amount of olive oil can be used in place of leather conditioner. Spot test a hidden area before using this conditioning method to be sure no staining occurs.
