Apply water-displacement spray directly onto the dried glue.
Allow the spray to sit on the dried glue for 30 seconds.
Saturate a clean cloth with cool water. Wipe the glue and water-displacing spray with the cloth.
Continue applying the spray and wiping with the cloth until you have removed all of the glue from the wood furniture.
Dip a cloth in petroleum jelly. Rub the hardened glue with the cloth for several seconds. Apply waterless hand sanitizer to the cloth. Rub the hardened glue with the cloth for several more seconds.
Fold several paper towels until the stack is about 1/8 inch thick. Dampen the towels with warm water. Place the dampened paper towels on top of the glue. Allow the paper towels to sit on the upholstered furniture for 1 hour, until the glue is softened.
Scrape the softened glue off the upholstered furniture using the back of a butter knife.
Pour 2 cups of cool water into a bucket. Add 1 tsp. of liquid dish soap and mix thoroughly.
Saturate a white cloth in the mixture. Blot the area with the cloth, reapplying the mixture when needed, until you have removed the glue.
